Standards of Beauty

They say that there is no beauty without the beast. That in all of us, is the power to be pure, and the potential to be evil.

To give into the things that we know are bad for not only us, but for those around us. The energies, the vibrations, and the emotions, that feed this beast from within.

However, I do not believe that it is in human nature to be this evil being; this evil self. Humans in their natural state, are not evil creatures. We are not harmful, dangerous, or venomous.

It is with teaching and instilling within us that we are the detriment to the world, that we begin to see ourselves as something other than an energy; A body, living the human experience.

But that is not what I want to discuss today.

Today, I want to bring light to the true potential of the human being to be beautiful in all its glory.

We each may have our flaws, we each may not measure up to the others standard of beauty or perfection, but beauty is truly within each of us. Beauty, does not need to be taught, as evil does, however it must be tapped into from within.

And that’s what I want to show you. How you can bring to light, the beauty within yourself, for yourself.

So that you can reach your highest potential to love, to be loved, to create, to live, to thrive, and to flourish.

If that sounds good to you, I hope you stick around to tap into this new way of thinking.

What is the meaning of beauty?

Just yesterday, I watched a video title, It's Time to Romanticize Your Life.

I thought, huh? Romanticize?

Isn’t romance merely something, a connection, an energy, a feeling, shared between two people?

I learned however, that it is not merely so.

Romance is not only something we can give to someone else, but it is most importantly something we should give to ourselves.

Love, respect, happiness, joy.

Like a kid on Christmas morning, or the rush of blood to your cheeks when you first laid eyes on the one you love.

That’s the feeling you can and should give to yourself, within your everyday life!

Now, I’m not going to reiterate everything said within this video because I want you guys to check it out for yourself and let me know your take on it!

I do however, want to give all the credit to Leeor Alexandra, for the inspiration behind this post & for helping me out of the rut I found myself stuck in these past few days.

For, by watching this video, I was reminded of what I need to do to bring back the feelings I want into my life, and that I was in control of my feelings and situations.

With that being said, I do however want to share with you, little ways that I romanticize every given day and what I do to bring forth the beauty in my own life.

Beauty In Example

1 . The first thing I do every single day, that really helps me home in on these feelings of beauty, is waking up and giving thanks. Sitting myself up, and thanking the world, the universe, God or whoever you want to thank, for this life and this day.

Not only does this set the mood or tone for the day, but it realigns the body, mind, and spirit, with vibrations of joy, love, and gratitude, that may not be present otherwise.

2. After this, I like to spend all the time I possibly can to make myself the most nutritious and delicious meals each day.

Sometimes I find myself short on time, so I don’t have much time to think about what to eat, however, even in these moments, by keeping around a balanced mixture of foods, and flavors that I not only enjoy, but that make my body feel good, I am able to worship the vessel that I am living in and give back to it and myself.

By practicing this and listening to the cues that your body is giving you, you will be able to gain a level of trust within yourself, that shines right through you, when you reach it. A trust that cannot be broken, and only makes you stronger, and more resilient.

3. Making time for yourself is also another way to bring this beauty into your life. Whether that means making time to get yourself ready in the morning, by doing your hair, getting dressed and putting on your favorite outfit, or that means taking time away to sit and mediate, or reflect on how you are feeling that given day, taking the time out to pay attention to yourself and what your body & mind are trying to tell you, will help you reach another level of self-love and self-respect.

Two qualities that shine on you from within, helping you blossom and bloom, as an induvial, and among others. For when you take care of yourself, you open the door to stronger relationships with not only others but with the whole world around you.

4. Just like in one of my most recent posts, the space around you can also have a great effect on how you feel about yourself and the level of beauty you express to the world.

By creating spaces that you feel most alive in, you create higher levels of energy and vibrations that bring more and more vitality and life into your everyday, when you are in the space and even after you leave.

5. The last way to bring beauty into your life, is by paying close attention to the people you surround yourself with.

By surrounding yourself with people who love and support you, you bring yourself into alignment with the world. For you, give off the notion that you are stable, loved, confident, and happy, when you are around people that give you the same vibrations back.

Which can remind you, even in the most difficult of times, that if there is beauty among you, then you are within that beauty too.

Closing

To close, I wanted to remind you all that beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, and each of you is the beholder of your own beauty.

So, even if beauty for you looks different than how it does for me, as long as you follow what truly sets our heart on fire, and heightens all your senses, you will be able to live in abundance of beauty and vitality among all other beautiful things within this world.
